We hold to the Westminster Confession of Faith, Larger and Shorter Catechisms as our doctrinal standards.

OUR MISSION

The purpose and aim of Student for Christ (SFC) is to disciple young Christians according to the tenants of the Reformed faith that they might honor Christ’s church and live as salt and light in the world.

OUR PURPOSE & AIM

The establishment of the Korean-American church according to the Reformed faith through campus evangelization.

OUR PRINCIPLES & STANDARDS

  • God-Centered
“Soli Deo Gloria” is the foundational standard of SFC. SFC exists for the glory of God: not adding in any way; rather to exalt and magnify the God who already possesses infinite glory in himself is the principle matter of this ministry. SFC exists unto the glory of God: having many come to the clear understanding of why God – not man – is alone worthy of all glory is the principle joys and privileges of this ministry.
  • Bible-Centered
“Sola Scriptura” is an indelible anthem of the Protestant Reformation, and the core standard of this ministry. The Word of God is “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12); and therefore, it is the power of God’s Word alone that is effective unto salvation for all those who hear and believe. The faithful preaching and teaching of God’s Word is the guiding principle not only for SFC Northwest, but SFC chapters all across the globe.
  • Church-Centered
SFC America is the ministry of the Korean Presbyterian Church in America (Kosin); and therefore operates within the bounds of church governance and recognizes the importance of growing the local church. Because the local church is the primary institution by which God offers the good news of salvation and the principle institution by which God preserves the saints on this side of eternity, it is the permanent standard of SFC to supplement the gospel ministry of the local church.
